May will be recorded in history in the 1st edition of the Best in Psychoanalysis Award 2024 promoted by the IFP to professionals who are followers of the famous Sigmund Freud

Instituto Freudiano de Pernambuco holds the first edition of the Best of the Year Award in Psychoanalysis. The event will take place this May 4th from 6pm at the Coco Bambú Restaurant at Shopping Recife.

Pernambuco will host the first “Best of the year award in Psychoanalysis”, promoted by the Freudian Institute of Pernambuco (IFP) .

The event will be held at 6pm at Shopping Recife, in the Boa Viagem neighborhood, in the South Zone.

The award aims to stimulate research and the development of clinical practice in addition to the transmission of psychoanalysis in an institutional didactic manner, always valuing the professional and the technique of free association of ideas, also including the construction of innovative scientific knowledge for social commitment of psychoanalysis.

The Award is part of the actions commemorating the 168th birthday of Dr. Sigmund Freud, known as the “father of psychoanalysis”. One of the objectives of IFPE is to recognize and value professionals and institutions that use psychoanalysis.

“The importance of this meeting is to create bonds and break this circle of individualism that we have about some institutions, creating bonds of affection with all ethics and all love, in this beautiful practice of studying the human being. Today we live in such an addictive, prejudiced, individualistic and melancholic circle, but with this we are breaking this circle of individualism, bringing us closer to each other”, highlights the president of the IFP, Jaqueline Silva.

The award is aimed at psychoanalysis institutions and individual psychoanalysts nominated by IFP organized committees. Nominees for the award must be working in the clinic or representing a psychoanalysis institution in a specific establishment within the limits of the national territory and outside it.

Professionals will be able to win prizes in the following categories:

1. Psychoanalytic Institutions (Schools);

2. Professionals who practice psychoanalysis in an analytical setting;

3. Professionals who practice psychoanalysis in a didactic way.

4. Professionals who represent their psychoanalysis institutions in other departments.

“In the institutional category, we will be honoring the psychoanalysis institutions that practice psychoanalysis and train this professional. And in the individual category, the professional who works in the psychoanalytic clinic will be honored”, adds Jaqueline Silva.
